Vans Warped Tour has always been more than a music festival. It is a celebration of self-expression, friendship, and the unapologetic energy that comes from creating something real. Rooted in punk and emo culture, it represents the thrill of belonging to a world built on loud voices, messy emotions, and fearless individuality.

The mission for this rebrand comes from a desire to rekindle that spark of connection and creativity that once defined the music festival. It brings back the liveliness of the 2000s scene and reimagines it for today’s punk youth with bright color, streetwear influences, and graphics inspired by analog textures like spray paint. It is a love letter to the next generation of misfits, dreamers, and DIY creators who keep the spirit of punk alive.

Logo

The new Warped Tour logotype reflects the evolution of punk and emo culture. The bold geometric letterforms and distressed texture capture the grit and movement of pop punk culture, while the hidden arrows (in the negative space of the letterforms) reimagine a signature element from the festival’s early branding. The arrows reference the touring nature of Vans Warped Tour, a festival that travels to its fans instead of staying in one place.

Announcement Poster

This poster series celebrates the 2025 revival of Warped Tour through the modular use of inverted arrow shapes from the logo, distressed overlays, and bright color pairings that capture the movement and energy of a traveling festival. Inspired by street posters, DIY print culture, and the raw energy of live shows, the designs reflect the collision of nostalgia and modern punk spirit.

Activity Booth Posters

This poster series promotes Warped Tour’s new “Make Your Mark” booth, an interactive experience I designed where festival-goers can create their own version of the Warped Tour logo and have it printed as a custom temporary tattoo to wear around the event. The visuals channel the DIY roots of punk through hand-drawn typography, layered textures, and bold color combinations that reflect the raw, creative energy of self-expression.

Interactive Activity

Make Your Mark” is an interactive booth that invites festival-goers to design their own Warped Tour logo and turn it into a custom temporary tattoo to wear throughout the event. The experience embodies the collaborative, hands-on spirit of punk culture while nodding to tattoo artistry, a creative outlet deeply intertwined with the Warped Tour community. Using a digital canvas, participants can draw, experiment, and express themselves freely as they create and print their own unique version of the Warped Tour logo to become part of the festival’s living identity.

Guide Book

The Warped Tour Guide Book is a companion, keepsake, and spark of joy that follows fans throughout their festival day. Handed out for free at the entrance and at various booths, it turns the Warped Tour experience into a story worth tucking into your back pocket. Inside, fans can flip through a playful “drunk history” of Warped Tour, meet featured artists (each with a rip-out poster begging to live on a bedroom wall), collect autographs, browse a food guide, check the performance schedule, and use the map on the back page to explore with ease.

Personal, interactive, and full of character, the guide book becomes part of the adventure rather than something to toss aside. It helps fans discover new music, make memories, and carry a piece of the festival home long after the final
encore fades.
